The primary purpose of the Inventory Clerk is to facilitate the systems entry of inventory related data and to keep accurate records of all inventory activities. This position also performs a variety of administrative duties that support overall Supply Chain operations.
|Duties:||Responsibilities & Duties|
1. Provides support to the Inventory Analyst and other Supply Chain initiatives through data entry and record keeping activities on all incoming inventory product.
a. Verifies the accuracy and integrity of all shipping and receiving documentation (bills of lading, invoices, etc.) tracking the movement of incoming product.
b. Verifies as necessary the accuracy of counts, weight, or other measurements on all inventory being received and/or shipped.
c. Work with Supply Chain staff to take action on exceptions report analysis.
a. High school diploma or successful equivalent required.
2. Required qualifications
a. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
b. Previous experience in working with diverse groups and an interest in community or hunger related issues.
c. Very strong computer skills for handling data entry with consistent accuracy in key strokes.
d. Must be detail oriented and follow instructions.
e. Previous experience in maintaining detail inventory records.
3. Preferred qualifications
a. Previous experience in warehouse operations.
b. Must be comfortable with multitasking and hitting deadlines.
c. Must be highly motivated.
This position works in a typical office setting. There may be extended periods of sitting, standing and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use. This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus.
